Educo Guatemala

Educo is an international development organization focused on protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of children and young people, with a strong focus on access to education and learning opportunities.

I was the lead designer for the character design and animation of a series of animated spots created for Educo. The project was based on the real experiences of four children from Guatemala and how their lives changed after gaining access to information, education, and online learning resources.

I translated their stories into approachable characters and animated worlds that could communicate their experiences in a warm, engaging, and relatable way. The goal was to make the stories feel personal and human while highlighting the impact that access to education and digital resources can have on a child's life.

One of my Favourite Projects

One of the reasons I enjoyed this project so much was being closely involved throughout the execution—from character design and visual direction to animation editing. Working alongside Michelle Gonzales made the process especially collaborative, allowing us to easily adapt to a shared illustration language and visual style while bringing each story to life.
