Sunlight Financial: Web Redesign & Design System
Sunlight Financial is a U.S.-based fintech company (founded in 2014) providing point-of-sale financing for residential solar systems and home improvements.
Project Objective The primary goal was to elevate Sunlight Financial from a transactional service provider to a true, collaborative partner in the solar and home improvement industries. The redesign focused on conveying shared values—such as sustainability, long-term savings, and energy efficiency—while making the user journey significantly more transparent and accessible.
My contributions
Simplified the UX: Redesigned key pages to clearly highlight user perks, the step-by-step financing process, and revamped the FAQ to quickly clear up common questions.
Product Comparison: Built an intuitive layout to compare their two main products (Orange vs. Tangerine), helping different types of users confidently choose the right fit.
FAQ Optimization: Revamped the FAQ section to surface common questions quickly, reducing user hesitation and support tickets.
Figma Design System: Helped build and roll out a scalable design system from scratch, ensuring components were consistent, easy to evolve, and reusable across web and mobile.
